About the Project
Davao Smiles documents a humanitarian dental mission where Korean dentists, Filipino clinicians, and NGO Global Impact collaborated to provide free dental care for over 90 underserved children and families.
Produced in partnership with the University of Utah Asia Campus and local organizations in the Philippines.
My Role
- Served as Lead Editor for Davao Smiles, a documentary filmed in Davao City, Philippines (Nov 2024).
- Led and mentored a team of student editors, setting the editorial direction and maintaining consistency across all cuts.
- Designed the narrative arc, ensuring the story emphasized both medical impact and cross-cultural collaboration.
- Directed the full post-production process, including video editing, sound design, color correction, and CG/motion graphics creation.
