KCON LA 2024 Marketing

KCON LA is one of the largest Korean culture and music conventions in the United States, attracting thousands of fans of K-pop, K-beauty, K-food, and more. The University of Utah Asia Campus sees this event as a prime opportunity to connect with individuals passionate about Korean culture who may be interested in studying or living in Korea. For those who may not speak fluent Korean, the Asia Campus offers the perfect solution, providing the chance to live in Korea while earning a U.S. degree through classes taught in English.

Responsibilities
1. Photography
Captured high-quality photos/videos of the event and our booth, showcasing our engagement and interactions.

2. Raffle Management
Implemented a QR code system linked to our WordPress website to gather participant data for our raffle. Managed the winner selection process and announced the results through Instagram live streaming and at our booth.

3. Social Media Coordination
Organized and coordinated daily Instagram takeovers with student ambassadors across two accounts, including interactive Q&A sessions to engage with our audience in real-time.

4. Creative Problem Solving
When I faced with a less-than-ideal booth location, I quickly adapted by designing and crafting portable signs from leftover boxes. These signs were carried around the convention center by our student ambassadors, significantly improving our booth’s visibility.
