"Maybe Tomorrow" is a powerful and uplifting film that tells the story of Caroline, a young girl who is struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts. As the film unfolds, Caroline discovers that even the smallest things in life can make a big difference and that there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
Throughout the film, I wanted to explore the different ways in which people cope with depression and suicidal thoughts. For Caroline, procrastination becomes a way to deal with her pain. She puts off her suicide attempt and instead spends time watching funny videos online. This small distraction ends up being the catalyst for a major shift in her mindset, as she begins to see that life is worth living and that there is always a reason to keep fighting.
My hope with "Maybe Tomorrow" was to create a film that would encourage empathy, understanding, and compassion for those who are struggling with mental health issues. I believe that this is a story that needs to be told and that it has the power to touch the hearts of audiences everywhere.
